Our LSR Molding Process

From concept to production, we ensure quality and precision at every step

Material Preparation

The two components of liquid silicone rubber (base and catalyst) are precisely metered and mixed in a static mixer to ensure uniform curing.
1

Injection Molding

The mixed LSR is injected into a heated mold cavity under high pressure, where it cures rapidly into the desired shape.
2

Curing

The mold is heated to accelerate the platinum-catalyzed curing process, which typically takes 15-90 seconds depending on part geometry and material.
3

Ejection

Once cured, the mold opens and the finished part is ejected using precision ejector pins, ensuring minimal stress on the component.
4

Post-Mold Processing

Parts may undergo secondary processes such as deflashing, assembly, printing, or additional curing to meet specific application requirements.
5

Quality Inspection

Every part undergoes rigorous quality checks, including dimensional verification, visual inspection, and functional testing to ensure compliance with specifications.

Two precise liquid silicone parts

Prototypes typically take 5-10 business days, tooling development ranges from 3-6 weeks, and production runs can begin within 1-2 weeks after tool approval.

We routinely achieve tolerances of ±0.005″ for most features, with critical dimensions held to ±0.001″ when required.

Our engineering team provides Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis to optimize your parts for LSR molding. We review wall thickness, draft angles, undercuts, and parting lines to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.

Yes, LSR parts can be sterilized using various methods including steam autoclave, gamma radiation, ethylene oxide (EtO), and electron beam sterilization. We select materials and design features to ensure compatibility with your required sterilization method.

We accept most common CAD file formats including STEP, IGES, STL, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor files. 3D models are preferred, but we can also work from 2D drawings with detailed specifications.
